The team of IT experts at Toronto’s Tektonic was thrilled to serve as sponsors for the
11th Anniversary Shelter Them Gala this month.
Shelter Them is an established registered charitable and non-governmental organization in Canada, with teams operating in both Canada and Rwanda. The organization provides ongoing support for 30+ orphans and vulnerable children across eight homes, as well as supporting programs that provide healthcare to families, and skills training to promote self-sufficiency and employment. Most recently, Shelter Them has been granted five acres of land by the Rwandan government to construct a community for orphans, vulnerable children, and families, and to facilitate opportunities for long-term self-sufficiency.
Every year, Shelter Them holds a fun and dynamic evening gala to raise support and funds for their year-long efforts. This year, the event was held in Brampton at the Garden Banquet and Convention Center and included dinner, entertainment, dancing and a silent auction. All proceeds from the event went to benefit the work that Shelter Them does to support Rwandans in need. The Tektonic team was thrilled to both sponsor and attend this celebration of culture and generosity.
“Shelter Them does such incredible work for Rwandan children and communities all year long,” says Tektonic Managing Partner, Sam Marashi. “The work they do provides invaluable support to children and families who need it and it really is an honor to have been able to serve as a sponsor for their 11th Anniversary Gala.”
“The theme was Around the World in One Night which was incredibly fitting,” continues Marashi. “Everyone had an opportunity to wear something representative of their culture and heritage, which really emphasized the central message of togetherness and caring for the greater community – both locally and globally. We look forward to taking part in many opportunities for community involvement for many years to come.”
Sam Marashi is available for an immediate interview about their role as sponsor and their commitment to being an active partner in community support, development, and involvement.
